Bored…

Have any of you ever just been straight up bored out of your mind? So bored in face that you actually take the time to read my blog? Well, I’m in that boat right now. Some people get asked the question, “What would be one thing you could change about your life?” Frankly my answer would be, “more excitement and thrills.” Unluckily, everyday is not a party. We all got work, school and, if you’re lucky, a S/O or spouse to take care of. I got so bored today that I actually started searching for things to do if you’re EXTREMELY bored. One of the things that I tried after watching this dude give his entire life story was cleaning your room. Ladies and gentlemen, I cannot tell you how much of a complete life changer this was, insert sarcasm*. Being on the extroverted side of the spectrum, having your car break down is a total nightmare because that means you are stuck at home. When I am stuck at home one of two things happen. One, I might actually enjoy the p[eace and quiet, or what happens most of the time, napping and wishing I was somewhere else. Heck, even when I nap I dream of being in another state or having people over. During today’s nap, I had this crazy dream that the civilians actually took over Area 51 and I found an alien gf who could shoot lasers out her nose, heh wierd. So enough of this rabbit trail, how did I combat boredom and find the key to finding infinite self love and entertainment?! I didn’t. Here’s an Area 51 meme though: https://www.reddit.com/r/OTMemes/comments/cd3irb/1_of_a_million_area_51_memes/

Sup losers.

Today, I had the absolute honor of writing a blog post for an upcoming assignment. So, where should I start? Hmm how about today? Today has been great, I made a load of cash by working two jobs, met a cute girl at the store and hit a new PR at the gym. Pretty mundane stuff overall. One thing really got on my nerves though. While I was working today I noticed a customer that looked so mad she looked like she was gonna blow an artery. Me being the salesman-entreprenuer I am walked up to her and put on my absolutely charming fake smile. After being an absolute buisness role model and displaying the upmost of customer service, she looked at me with absolute disgust, I just assumed I had bad breath. She turned around, and sneered in her “Karen” voice, “You should really fix the order of your records on your spare time, I mean, you kids have all the time in the world, but all you do is party.” I literally was about to have a cringe-caused annurism, but while collecting myself, I forced the words, “ma-am I’m sorry.” Holding back the laughter, I sarcastically told her, “you can file a bad yelp review if you’d like.” She looked at me with even more disgust and said, “OH I WILL YOUNG MAN UNLESS YOU DO YOUR JOB RIGHT.” After that she just walked out. I aughed for like the rest of my shift, but seriously… Dont micromanage me. On a brighter note, here is a link to a new song I made https://soundcloud.com/br3akpoint/finding-you

Introduce Yourself (Example Post)

This is an example post, originally published as part of Blogging University. Enroll in one of our ten programs, and start your blog right.

You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here.

Why do this?

  • Because it gives new readers context. What are you about? Why should they read your blog?
  • Because it will help you focus you own ideas about your blog and what you’d like to do with it.

The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.

To help you get started, here are a few questions:

  • Why are you blogging publicly, rather than keeping a personal journal?
  • What topics do you think you’ll write about?
  • Who would you love to connect with via your blog?
  • If you blog successfully throughout the next year, what would you hope to have accomplished?

You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.

Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.

When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
